WHERE I STARTED
A collector
As a kid, I spent a lot of time in antique shops with my mom. It’s there that I think I developed my penchant for nostalgia. I became a collector, first salt and pepper shakers, and then Charlie Chaplin ephemera.
Likewise I am a collector of memories, which is somewhat of a family tradition. My dad was a rodeo photographer, and my grandmother took beautiful portraits. I started shooting with film when I was a kid and made the switch to digital photography about 20 years ago.

My favorite things
I LOVE music. I love to travel. I love to meet new people. I love nature. I love collaborating with other artists, musicians, writers, and creative minds. I love urban exploration, architecture, and old cemeteries. I love antiques, ephemera, and oddities. I especially love photographing all of these things.

Light chaser
I call myself a light chaser. I primarily shoot with available light. I enjoy the challenge of shooting in whatever lighting is available. The photo of the coil, shot at the Indiana State Sanatorium, is an example of this. The subject is lit by heavily filtered window light in another otherwise very dark room. This image was shot at ISO 4000 and the shutter speed was 1/25 of a second.
